Norman and Francis shivered with cold after heartless people abandoned them in a canal in Louisiana, a common place for dumping animals because they can’t escape from it.
Since the two Pitties were trapped in the canal, too, they felt helpless and could only hope that someone would jump to their aid.
Fortunately, someone spotted them and called Zeus’ Rescues.
Upon receiving the call, the rescuers dropped everything and rushed to the scene in order to save them.
They knew that with the torrential rain coming in and the canal getting filled up with water, the Pitties didn’t have much time left.
Rescue Mission
When the rescue team arrived at the scene, they felt sad to see two sweet Pitties stranded in the canal.
The team began talking to them in a soft voice, trying to make them feel relaxed.
The moment Francis and Norman saw them, they started barking with fear. The pups didn’t know whether they could trust the rescuers.
Once they got into the canal, Francis and Norman realized that these humans had come to help them. The dogs’ scared barks turned into excited barks.
They began wagging their tails, and their eyes looked more hopeful.
Wishing to coax them to come across the canal, the rescuers offered delicious treats to the pups.
Francis took a few steps forward, and the rescuer handfed her.
At that point, she decided to put her faith in the rescuers. The brave pup came across the canal first, and the team grabbed her. She was safe.
Having realized that his doggy friend was rescued and that he was left alone, Norman jumped over the deepest part of the canal, and the rescuers collected him.
They breathed a sigh of relief that the dogs were safe.
They loaded them into their van and drove them to the rescue’s building in New Orleans, Louisiana.
The Pitties Feel Safe And Loved
The rescuers pampered Francis and Norman with care and showered them with love until they recovered from the trauma they experienced.
The dogs loved people and were extremely affectionate toward everyone.
The more the rescuers got to know them, the more smitten they were with them.
“They love to be in the sunshine and will just lay out like a cat in the sun… They’re perfect angels,” Michelle, one of their rescuers,
The Pitties started looking for their forever home.
Although the pups loved each other, they were not considered a bonded pair because they could function individually, so they were put up for adoption separately.
Norman found his forever family first while Francis is still looking for her happy ending.
I hope that she will soon capture the heart of wonderful humans who will give her the home she longs for.
